This year, our school collaborated with the University of Hong Kong to deliver two authentic English lessons to Primary 1 and Primary 2 students using virtual reality (VR) technology. The integration of VR created an immersive environment where students could experience English in meaningful, real‑world contexts. Importantly, the lessons were also designed to incorporate elements of National Security Education, ensuring that language learning was connected to broader values and civic awareness.
Both lessons were highly motivating and sparked students’ curiosity. The authentic and interactive nature of VR encouraged active participation and demonstrated how technology can transform language learning.
