Hello everyone! My name is Fiona Mackintosh and I am very excited to be a NET (Native English Teacher) at Buddhist Wing Yan School again this year. I was born and raised in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and I completed my studies at the Queensland University of Technology. I moved to Hong Kong in 2011 and I have been teaching at BWYS since then. I have immensely enjoyed my time at BWYS and I am looking forward to continue building the English environment this year. Our English program follows a holistic approach to teaching and learning that includes reading, writing, speaking and listening activities which enables students to learn English effectively.
When I am outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time outdoors, swimming, cooking and going on adventures around Hong Kong with my daughter.
Greetings Everybody! My name is Chris Lau (you can call me Mr. Chris) and I am a Native English Teacher (NET) here at Buddhist Wing Yan School. My home is New York City in the United States, but I've been teaching English in Hong Kong for three years now. I am looking forward to working with all the bright students and talented English teachers at BWYS this school year!
I will be working mostly with P.2, P.4 and P.6 students for this school year, but students from all grades can approach me during the school day with any questions they might have regarding their English studies. English learning is about using and understanding the language to explore different areas of life and I will try my best to encourage and motivate students to use English to communicate their own interests, ideas, and passions!
Let's all work together to improve the English abilities of each and every student! Thank you!
